Parking:  Parking is available in the rear of our building.  For your safety, please do not park on RT140, overflow parking is available next door (Antron lot).

General guide for each group :


  • Rent is $80 per month. This is based on one meeting each week (regardless of how many weeks may be in a given month). Rent check is due the first of each month and is to be deposited into the HIW Drop Box locker (or the check can be mailed to The How It Works Clubhouse, 176 Mechanic Street, Bellingham, MA 02019). For groups meeting more than once a week, the monthly fee will be adjusted accordingly. However, we fully understand that not all groups have the attendance to pay that amount. Please contact us for special circumstances.
  • Each group has a locker located in the ladies room for their own supplies. Groups provide their own locks. If any extra storage space is needed, we ask groups to please contact the board for those arrangements.
  • The clubhouse will provide cups, filters and regular sugar for each group. Groups are to supply their own coffee, creamer and other special preferences.
  • All groups are to clean up the kitchen area after each meeting, make sure all trash has been picked up and disposed of properly, and sweep floors as needed (dust mop and pan are in closet). The chairs are to be stacked along walls after each meeting.
  • We ask all who use the building to please share in the responsibility of keeping the hall clean. We are especially concerned with keeping cigarette butts picked up in the outside areas.

Please note that when your group celebrates its anniversary an extra hour is added to your time slot. Please notify the Board as soon as possible of that event so there won’t be any conflict with any separate Clubhouse event.

The hall is available for rent for AA/AlAnon special events, such as workshops or Alcathons, hosted by your group or the district. There is a $25 per hour rental fee for such special events and a TBD fee for Alcathons.
